Everybody's Going Nuts!

Last Night I Discoverd Nutella © 2008 JoeDaddio
It would seem that I have misplaced my freakin' Nutella! I've searched high and low, but no luck. I'm going crazy, and it looks like I'm not the only one. A week's gone by since classes started and we've all pretty much settled down comfortably. We eat, we sleep, we study, and now we've started to love. Everybody seems to be hooking up and "getting down". A few night ago the school hosted a huge Foam Dance party on campus, attracting tons of students. It was a blast! We had tons of fun "swimming" through the soapy foam and meeting new people. Some more than others. One of my roommates ended up running away for the night with a mysterious woman (doing who knows what) and didn't show up again until 4 am! This came as a shock to the rest of us since he seems to be the quietest out of the bunch. Turns out that the girl he had hooked up with was a 21 year old who bought into his lie of being 25 himself. Needless to say, we we're all pretty impressed with him. Other roommates have been having romances of their own, but on a more local basis with girls in our apartment complex. I admit that I too have a "dirty little secret" going on (that's what she likes to refer to it as). I actually just got a text from her asking if I want to play in the old gym... =)

Anyways, I'm happy to announce that things are cooling down here, but as far as love goes, it looks like things are starting to heat up. I'm still clueless as to where my Nutella went, but I'll keep you posted!

Warming Up

0
Well, I'm three days in now and still managing to keep my head above water. The first day of college seemed to tower over me with uncertainties and doubt, but I'm starting to get the hang of things now. I can honestly say that it's not THAT bad. School is school, it always will be. I am definitely loving the looser feeling of freedom though as I walk across the lawn in the morning toward my first class. I can honestly say that I don't miss high school hallways jammed with obnoxious sophomores, and trashy teens. Most days I have 2 or 3 classes and I'm always done by 1:00. It looks like my toughest class will be Biology 1610, but we all have to climb cliffs at some point to reach our destination. Today after classes I drove around searching for a part time job. I had intended on donating plasma but the clinic made me schedule an appointment for tomorrow. As I drove around town, I listened to "Catching Fire", the sequel to the popular book titled "The Hunger Games". It was so hot outside, I felt like I was catching fire! Not a good day to wear pants, that's for sure. =\ My car's AC doesn't work either, so I attempted to cool off by rolling my windows down but all I got in return was a warm wind. Well, I'm not sure what is in store for tonight, probably some homework and dinner from a can. The food sucks, but I don't mind. I'm just here enjoying the ride. More soon.

One Week Down.

0
Today finishes off my first week here in college. I must admit that it was a pretty impressive first week. I'm loving it already. All the people I've met and all the crazy things I've already done with them. I've somehow found myself on Student Government here and I love it already. They weren't exaggerating when they said it is an excellent way to meet people. A few nights ago we had an event at the fountain where there were slip-n-slides and other water activities. There was also a ton of free food. It was great! Yesterday my roommate and I went rappelling with a group of people at some nearby cliffs. We had a blast. That night, after we got back, our apartment accepted a volleyball challenge against a neighboring girls apartment and agreed to have the losers provide dinner. Needless to say, "The Batcave" aka B11, won the challenge and were rewarded with delicious pizza from Papa Johns. We went back to "The Coop" aka B6, and celebrated with the girls. We usually spend more time over there then back at our own apartment. We've even nicknamed one of the girls "Mom" since she is pretty our mom away from home. If you know anything about guys, you should know that we love to eat. Maybe that's why we spend so much time at The Coop. This morning, they treated us to Crepes and hash-browns before church. All I have to say is, I love College! I wonder what surprises this next week will bring...

Well I made it. This morning I moved everything into Apartment B11. I like it so far. Two of my roommates have moved in as well. Right now we're just kickin' it in our rooms. School doesn't start for another week so there's not much to do right now. We'll think of something. My stomach is starving so I'll probably go hunt down some food.
